InDec 13 during the 55,000 mi dealer service my 2008 A4 battery failed a test, though I had no symptoms of failure. The dealer replaced it. Battery cost was $139, labor was $138, to include resetting the clock, alarm, etc. easy-peasy. The battery part number was 000-915-105-DH-DSP Battery.

Remove the clamp holding the batter in place - hex key - remove the bolt - slide it to the left and remove the battery - remove the battery posts cables of course!!! So I would assume then that it's a short because I do get power. Also, the code was 00668 and not 00688. Also, referring to the Bentley, it says terminal +30 is the ground wire to the starter.
